Här har du fakta direkt från den färska amerikanska bladet om den nya maskinen:
The Arctic Cat 2009 Sno Pro is faster, better handling, more powerful, and more durable!
The 2009 Sno Pro builds off its first year winning success in a couple critical areas: an all-new more powerful engine, increased durability where it counts, and several chassis and suspension component changes that will improve handling in every snow condition.
ENGINE – The all-new stock 600cc race engine, capable of burning 92-Octane, includes significant changes. Leading the changes is a new cylinder and cylinder head design. Combined with new pistons,
ignition, exhaust system and air intake that lets it breathe better in all conditions; the new motor has a 5% increase in the mid- to upper-horsepower range. Late testing last season showed dominate results in stock and mod form. Ryan Simons won the Open class at the final Triple Crown cross country event with this new stock 600 motor, and Tucker Hibbert grabbed Gold at X Games when running the new mod motor. Speedwerx testing shows the new mod motors have gained 5 horsepower at peak, and over 10 horsepower in the mid range compared to the 2008 mod package.
MOD KITS – Team Arctic racers looking to convert their stock motor to a mod motor will be able to do so via a new, easy to install, economical kit developed in conjunction with Speedwerx. This kit is especially designed for Europe and regular octane “pump” gas. More information will be available later this fall.
CHASSIS and SUSPENSION– The ultimate goal for the Sno Pro 600 was to make the fastest, best handling and most durable all-around race machine for cross country and snocross racing; further increasing its resale value and demand when the season ends.
Aside from the new powerful engine, the ultimate goal of increasing speed was reached by relocating the track drive in conjunction with a new suspension rail design. Arctic Cat engineers then focused on improving the already strong handling characteristics to work effortlessly with the new found speed. In addition, changes to the rear suspension arms, sliding ski system, stronger rear tunnel extension with a new solid rear cooler design, shocks and shock calibration, spindles, A-arms & axles are all areas that will improve race results this season.
